The No Dowry, No Dinner, No Garden campaign initiated by the Qureshi community is showing a positive impact across various cities of Rajasthan. The Islah-e-Maashra Committee has now taken charge of this movement and is playing a significant role in taking it forward with renewed commitment. The campaign was formally launched from the state capital Jaipur on 24 December 2024, when senior social worker and businessman Chuttan Qureshi, a resident of Jhotwara, solemnized the nikah of his daughter Alima with the son of Naeem Qureshi, Rajasthan State President of the All India Jamiatul Quresh, in a simple and dignified manner at Noorani Mosque, Jhotwara. The ceremony was conducted strictly as per Islamic traditions, without dowry, dinner, or a garden venue. The event was graced by Siraj Ahmed Qureshi, National President of the All India Jamiatul Quresh, along with several senior members of the community. The simplicity of the nikah was widely appreciated, and it became an inspiration for similar initiatives across Jaipur and other cities of Rajasthan. Continuing this initiative, on Tuesday, 6 January, the nikah of Sohel, son of Jhotwara resident Meraj Qureshi, was solemnized with Anjum, daughter of Nasir Qureshi from MD Road, at Masjid Qureshiyan, following the same principles of simplicity. On this occasion, guests were offered dates (khajoor) instead of a traditional dinner.

The nikah will take place at Noorani Mosque, Jhotwara, after the Zuhr prayer, around 2:30 PM, strictly in accordance with Shariah. The ceremony will once again be conducted with complete simplicity, and guests will be served dates. Senior members of the community and a large number of social workers are expected to be present on this occasion.
