Uttar Pradesh secured third position in the National Muaythai Championship.

Uttar Pradesh team performed brilliantly in the National Muaythai Championship held from 9 to 14 June at Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak, Haryana and secured third position with 65 medals including 22 gold medals. More than 1200 players from 27 states and 2 union territories participated in the national championship. Haryana won the title of the winning team in the championship, Rajasthan won the title of the runner-up team and Uttar Pradesh team secured third position. The players of Uttar Pradesh performed brilliantly and captured a total of 65 medals including 22 gold medals and secured third position in the national championship. Uttar Pradesh secured third position in the National Muaythai Championship for the first time. On this historic success of the Uttar Pradesh team, Muaythai Association of Uttar Pradesh President Manoj Verma, General Secretary Atul Pandey, Senior Vice President Syed Imran Hussain, Vice President Abhishek Maurya congratulated all the medal winning players and wished them a bright future. Dinesh Kumar, Azhar Khan, Santosh Rai were the team coaches from Uttar Pradesh and Rajesh Verma, Ajay Agarwal played the role of manager. Jaiprakash Yadav was the referee.
