Journalist Protection Act should be implemented in Uttar Pradesh soon - KP Singh

The murder of journalist Raghavendra Bajpai in Sitapur district of Uttar Pradesh has caused deep anger among the journalists of the entire state. State Secretary of Indian Journalist Association (Purvanchal) Hashim Rizvi and Siddharthnagar District President Krishna Pratap Singh have condemned the journalist murder case in strong words, calling it an attack on the freedom of the fourth pillar of democracy and have demanded strict action by arresting the killers soon.

State Secretary of Indian Journalist Association Hashim Rizvi said that the murder of the journalist is very sad. Also, 48 hours have passed since the journalist murder case, but the hands of the police are still empty. The killers are away from the grasp of Sitapur Police. Indian Journalist Association demands from the Chief Minister that the journalist's family should be given one crore compensation and a government job to one member of the family.

 District President KP Singh said that Journalist Protection Act should be implemented in Uttar Pradesh soon. So that no lunatic dares to commit a heinous crime/act like attacking and killing a journalist. 

Indian Journalist Association Purvanchal State Secretary Hashim Rizvi and Siddharthnagar District President Krishna Pratap Singh 'Babbu', strongly condemned the journalist murder case, calling it an attack on the security of the fourth pillar of democracy and demanded strict action by arresting the murderers soon. 

Dumariaganj Tehsil President Rajesh Yadav, Mohammad Naeem, Safayat Ali, Mohammad Shahid, Mohammad Ismail, PD Dubey, Ganesh Agrahari etc. also strongly condemned the journalist murder case and raised questions about police security. Tehsil President Rajesh Yadav said that when journalist Raghavendra Bajpai received death threats, why was he not provided security. When those who expose the truth are not safe, then what is the guarantee of the safety of the common people.
