Demand for immediate arrest of the accused involved in the murderous attack on Patepur journalist Ashutosh Anand.

The meeting of the Vaishali district unit of the Indian Journalist Association was held under the chairmanship of the district president of the organization, Narendra Kumar Singh, at the residential premises of journalist Sanjeev Kumar at Digghi Kala, East Hajipur. Operation was done by District Secretary Sanjeev Kumar.
During this, while addressing the meeting, District President Narendra Kumar Singh said that the Indian Journalist Association is continuously fighting for the interests of journalists. Hundreds of journalists from Vaishali district will participate in International Journalist Honor, Seminar and General Convention of Indian Journalist Association to be held in Gorakhpur on 29th May. He said that the murderous attack on journalist Ashutosh Anand of Patepur is a sad incident. District President Mr. Singh demanded from Vaishali SP that the accused involved in the attack should be arrested without delay, if this does not happen then we journalists will be forced to protest.
During this the issue of development of the organization and safety of journalists was discussed. Describing the incidents happening with journalists as unfortunate, everyone demanded the government to enact a journalist protection law and instruct the local police administration to provide immediate protection to journalists.
District General Secretaries Narottam Kumar, Sushil Kumar Singh, Rajnarayan Yadav, Ajit Kumar alias Pawandev Yadav, Mukesh Kumar, Rahul Kumar Pandey, Anand Kumar Singh and other journalists were involved in the meeting.
