Journalists took a pledge to play a great role in the creation of a golden India.

Indian Journalist Association (Regd.) celebrated the 76th Republic Day celebrations with great enthusiasm. The flag hoisting ceremony was organized at the National Administrative Office- Ghazi Roza Tiraha, Dr. Aziz Ahmed Road, Gorakhpur, U.P. The flag was hoisted by National President Seraj Ahmed Qureshi. National President Jr. Seraj Ahmad Quraishi and journalists released the tricolor balloon and gave the message of national unity. After the national anthem and national song, all the journalists present saluted the tricolor flag and raised slogans of Bharat Mata Ki Jai, Vande Mataram and took a pledge to play a great role in the creation of a golden India through their unbiased writing.
Addressing the journalists present at the flag hoisting ceremony, National President of Indian Journalist Association Seraj Ahmad Quraishi said that it is due to the sacrifice of the Constitution and great men that we are able to breathe in independent India. I salute the national flag while paying my respects to all those who sacrificed their lives for the protection of the country. This festival of independence reminds us of those brave sons. After independence, to strengthen our country, a constitution was made under the leadership of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, which became a strong foundation for the world's largest democratic country. All Indians are celebrating 26 January Republic Day with pride and joy.
Mr. Quraishi further said that it was on the Republic Day that the citizens of India got social, economic, political, justice, position, opportunity, equality of laws, freedom of thought, speech, belief, profession, union formation, freedom of work, law, public morality.
On this occasion, National Organization Secretary Akhileshwar Dhar Dwivedi, State Treasurer Purvanchal Naved Alam, Gorakhpur Division Vice President Rafi Ahmed Ansari, District General Secretary Dr. Shakeel Ahmed, Mohammad Azam, Ramashankar Gupta, Dr. Atiq Ahmed, Haji Mukhtar Ahmed Qureshi, Shravan Kumar Gupta, Mohd. Parvez Akhtar, Satish Chand, Zuber Alam, Ashutosh Kumar, Anshul Verma, Satish Mani Tripathi, Rafiq Ahmed, Meraj Ahmed, Dr. Ved Prakash Nishad, Wajihuddin and other journalists were present.
