Government should immediately implement Journalist Protection Act - Madhu Sinha

Ranchi, Jharkhand.

The delegation of Indian Journalist Association Jharkhand State met MLA Rajesh Kachhap at his residence in the HEC campus of Ranchi and expressed gratitude to him by presenting him a flower bunch for raising the issue related to journalists in the Assembly. Let us tell you that MLA Rajesh Kachhap took up the task of placing the matter related to journalists during the zero hour during the budget session of the Assembly. During talks with the delegation of Indian Journalist Association, the MLA said that the demands of safety of journalists, Journalist Commission and other demands will be fulfilled through the House.

 The delegation members included State General Secretary Devanand Sinha, Lalan Kumar Sahu, and Seema Kachhap.

 State General Secretary Devanand Sinha said that we and our organization have been demanding a journalist protection law for years and we feel that now the time has come that all the journalist organizations will have to come on one platform for the interest of the journalists.

 State Vice President Women's Wing Madhu Sinha expressed gratitude to the MLA for this initiative taken in the interest of journalists and requested the government to immediately implement the Journalist Protection Act.

 Lalan Kumar Sahu said that now the government will have to be serious about the safety of us journalist brothers.
