A seminar and felicitation ceremony was organized on World NGO Day at Haji Wazir Welfare Foundation Hall under the aegis of Al Falah Educational and Welfare Society.
Social worker Sudha Modi as chief guest of the program, Gurdwara Committee President Sardar Jaspal Singh, Little Flower Polytechnic Manager Father Roy Mathew, National President of Indian Journalist Association Seraj Ahmad Quraishi, Buddhist Society of India Eastern Uttar Pradesh State President Satish Chandra Boudh was present.
Congratulating the guests and philanthropists on World NGO Day, Founder Secretary of the organization organizing the ceremony, Afroz Ahmed said that the Karmayogis, social organizations, self-help groups who do good work in the society, selflessly serving the country and the society. The organization is feeling proud to honor him.
Chief guest Sudha Modi said that service to man is service to Narayan, we should help the needy in every possible way. Sardar Jaspal Singh told that by donating blood we can save lives of people and this is the biggest service to humanity. Father Roy Mathew said that if all the institutions work unitedly, the results can be further improved. Seraj Ahmad Qureshi said that the media should publish positive news prominently in its channels, newspapers and magazines. Satish Chandra Boudh congratulated the organization for organizing such programmes.
Star Social Worker Award was given to 15 social workers, NGO Excellence Award to 16 social organizations and Rising SHG Award to 10 self-help groups for their excellent work in the programme.
Rameshwaram Mishra of Mediver Hospital, the health care partner of the programme, distributed medi cover coupons of Rs 10,000 to all the participants and assured cooperation to the organizations in organizing health related awareness programs and health check-up camps. Kumar Deep of Associate Partner Department of Correctional Solutions Department gave information about project making, CSR, document, and schemes run by the government.
Abhishek Kumar Singh, founder of Brand Connect, co-organizer of the event, gave detailed information about crowd funding, social networking using social media.
Along with all the office bearers members of the organization, Avni Yadav, Monica Prajapati, Madhu Chaudhary from Team Medivar, Pinky Rai, Ankit Srivastava, Manoj Kumar Pandey, Sarfaraz Alam Khan etc. were actively involved in the program and Shaheen Sheikh conducted the program well.
