Journey from a player to a trainer: Syed Imran Hussain Master of Martial Arts.

Syed Imran Hussain was born on 4 March 1981 in Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh). He had a passion for learning martial arts since childhood. The great martial artist Bruce Lee was his idol. In 1993, he took admission in SK Martial Arts Academy and started learning Karate. For further training in martial arts, I took admission in Ryu Kyu Karate Do Academy of India, where Grand Master Ghulam Sabir Sir taught me the nuances of Karate. After this, Shihan Dharmendra Singh Sir of National Karate Do Academy of India made me proficient in martial arts and gave me the opportunity to play in state level, national level championships as well as international championships, where I won a silver medal for the country. Passed Black Belt First Don exam in 2000, participated in district level Karate championship for the first time in 1994, participated in state championship for the first time in 1995 and got a chance to play in national competition in 1998. In which had to be satisfied with bronze medal. Got a chance to participate in international championship for the first time in 2005, in which won silver medal. Founded Martial Arts Sports Association of Uttar Pradesh in 2012 along with my friends Ram Lakhan Shastri, Harish Verma, Amit Shrivastava, Virendra Sharma. In which along with connecting players from all districts of Uttar Pradesh, by promoting martial arts, people especially women and girls were awakened to learn it as self-defense. Currently, along with Karate, I am associated with Thaiboxing sport.
Currently, I am a 5th Dan Black Belt in Karate and National Coach and Referee of Thai Boxing. Currently, I am the General Secretary of the Thai Boxing Association of Uttar Pradesh. During my tenure, I successfully organized the State Level Thai Boxing Championship in Varanasi on 5,6 August 2023 and 4,5 May 2024 and the National Thai Boxing Championship in Agra (Uttar Pradesh) from 30 August to 1 September 2024. In which the Uttar Pradesh team secured second position. Apart from this, the Uttar Pradesh Thai Boxing team performed brilliantly and secured third position in the National Thai Boxing Championship held in Hyderabad from 15 to 17 September 2023. The players of Uttar Pradesh won 4 medals in the South Asian Thai Boxing Championship held in Kathmandu (Nepal) from 27 to 29 December 2023, while the players of Uttar Pradesh won 20 medals for India in the Asian Thai Boxing Championship held in Goa from 15 to 17 November 2024. On 11 February 2024, a Thaiboxing and Self Defense Training Camp was organized for the Uttar Pradesh Police personnel at the Varanasi Police Line, In which 150 jawans of Uttar Pradesh Police took training, apart from this, from time to time we organized Thaiboxing and Self Defense Training Camps in districts and schools of Uttar Pradesh. The main people who gave support and cooperation to take Thaiboxing forward in Uttar Pradesh were President of Uttar Pradesh Thai Boxing Association Mr. Dayashankar Mishra, Manisha Rani Madam, Shams Tabrez Sir, Azhar Khan, Seraj Ahmad Quraishi, Ramlakhan Shastri, Dinesh Kumar Sir, Sartaj Ahmed, Jaya Singh Madam, Saddam Khan, Salauddin Ali, Awadhesh Kumar, Shakir Siddiqui, Arif Khan, Fasahat Hussain, Sandeep Gupta, Irshad Hussain, Azhar Alam, Jaiprakash Yadav, Rashid Ahmed, Ramashankar Vishwakarma, Manish Gupta Ji, Dharmendra Yadav. Seeing the work I am doing for Thaiboxing, Thaiboxing India Federation Chairman Pasha Yakub Attar Sir, President Santosh Khairnar Sir, General Secretary Yogesh Kharade Sir gave me the opportunity to become the Vice President of Thaiboxing India Federation, which I keep trying to live up to.
