Supreme Court Justice Pankaj Mitthal said that in the era of communication revolution, there is a need not to catch the new generation but to understand them and their feelings. This is a big challenge. The reason for this is that the generation trapped in the internet is continuously moving away from social and practical life. Along with their intellectual development, there is a need to emphasize on physical development.
Justice Mitthal was addressing as the chief guest a seminar on "Justice Delivery to Gen Alpha" jointly organized at KP Community Center under the aegis of UNICEF and Legal Assistance Forum. Underlining the sensitivity of child protection, he said that the present generation is in need of speedy justice. Is demanding. Today's generation is not ready to tolerate the date after date work culture in the judicial process. While choosing the legal guardian of a minor, we should consider this instead of considering the official status of the parents. Who can read the mind of a child? In this episode, special guest Justice Siddhartha said that it is difficult to understand Gen Alpha. The generation entangled in social media is moving away from human and family relationships. Which is a matter of concern. UNICEF Child protection expert Sonikutty George said that while talking about the protection of GenAlpha (people born between 2010-2024), there is a need to understand their emerging needs and their potential.
Unless we understand their feelings, we can neither make useful laws for their protection nor get them implemented. The program was coordinated by Supreme Court advocate and Legal Assistance Forum acting president Anupam K Mishra. Legal Assistance Forum President KS Bhati welcomed the guests. High Court advocate Rajesh Pachauri said that there are many opportunities for the proper development of children and the challenges need to be resolved with mutual harmony.
On this occasion, Justice Vivek Kumar Birla, Justice Arvind Sangwan, Justice Saurabh Shyam Shamsheri, Justice Anees Gupta, High Court Bar Association President Ashok Kumar Singh, former President RK Ojha, Anuj Kumar Singh, Suraj Padey, Dharmendra Kesarwani, Somnath Bhattacharya, Sirish Chandra. Saxena, Ashutosh Mishra, Sanglu Bhupendra Vishwakarma, Priyanka Sharma, Rameshwar Dhar Dwivedi, Aaradhya etc. were present.
