There was a demand for a journalist protection law and today the MLA has demanded a law to be made for the freedom and security of journalists during the session. He has said that the journalists of the state have to take very risky steps for news compilation many times and it is seen that journalists are also attacked by anti-social elements with a sense of revenge. Sometimes they are harassed by filing fake cases as well. Further, the MLA said that in the present circumstances, it is the moral responsibility of all of us that the government should take a concrete step in the interest of the fourth pillar. The MLA has said that I demand from the government for laws like journalist protection law, free insurance scheme, pension, medical facilities in the state through Asan.
